I was only able to work on this, recently, because there were LOTS of social "detours" along the way. Now that the "reunion/get-together" season is over, I can finally go back to my desk and paint. Can you imagine... I'm complaining about having too much social-life! That's why I like to have more time for work than for party because at least I can enjoy drawing.
A few days ago, I found myself taking a stroll at the mall, when I heard this playing loud: [link]Don't be silly... just click on it!!! It was from a gym booth promoting their new "Fitness First" branch. There was a crowd gathered in the area. I found a clear spot and watched as the fitness team made an exhibit of "slimming/toning" moves. As I have taken martial arts classes some years ago, I noticed that some of their steps were borrowed from Aikido, Karate and Arnis and turned into dance steps! Crazy! Looks fun, too! After snapping mental pictures of the many exercises, I went home and tried it out. The next day, I woke up sore in all places! But I feel good. I might do this twice a week.
I don't even know why you're still reading this. It has nothing to do with the portrait.
but that does remind me, i think i'm going to charge my ipod up for steam cleaning carpets today (who wants to listen to the machine's ssssssuck noise?).
anyhow, i do love seeing how you work on your pieces...you should show it more often ^^

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
